Fundraising and Contributions

There are several ways for you, as an individual, and for your sisterhood, to raise money for and/or to contribute to WRJ.

Just as each sisterhood supports the religious school, youth group, college students, and special sisterhood programs and projects within its own congregation, WRJ provides financial support for these types of programs throughout North America and around the world through the YES Fund (Youth, Education, and Special Projects).  There are three ways to contribute to the YES Fund:

  1. Buy uniongrams, e-cards, and YES Fund materials through the WRJ website, http://www.womenofreformjudaism.org.

  1. Contribute annually to the Circle of Service Campaign to support scholarships and grants.

  1. Pledge to complete a “Lifeline”, which helps to build the Lifeline Endowment Fund, the annual interest of which is used for scholarships and grants.

The Fund for the Generations safeguards the future of WRJ and its sisterhoods through an endowment fund, earmarked to help Women of Reform Judaism assist sisterhoods in meeting the needs of their membership. Through WRJ publications, programs, leadership seminars, speakers, and new initiatives, WRJ helps all sisterhoods, large and small, grow strong.

The Founders’ Endowment Fund supports the publication of Jewish study materials for sisterhoods and unique programs of service in the Reform/Progressive Movement.

Judaica Gift Shops

Judaica Gift Shops have long been a part of sisterhood and WRJ history.  Over time, they have been valuable in fundraising efforts while also offering a convenient and affordable way for congregations to purchase Jewish-related products.  Sisterhoods around the world have shops of various sizes and formats and have benefited greatly by participating in a WRJ Gift Shop Listserv which enables sisterhoods to share successes and challenges related to managing a shop.  If you are a Judaica Shop Chair and would like to participate in the Listserv, please contact Rachel Jurisz or call WRJ toll free at 1.866.WRJ.5924.

WRJ also has compiled a list of vendors of Judaica. WRJ does not endorse or accept responsibility for transactions with these vendors but provides this list as a resource. Visit Judaica Shop Directory for the complete list.
